Another successful chain maintenance job on an FPSO

InterMoor Subsea FPSO

InterMoor successfully completed the maintenance for one mooring line of the FPSO Baobab Ivoirien MV10 at the request of Mitsui Ocean Development & Engineering Co., Ltd (MODEC). The FPSO is currently located in the Baobab Oil Field Block CI-40, 25km (15 miles) of the coast of Côte d’Ivoire, in approximately 970m of water.

The FPSO Baobab was installed in 2005. Eight (8) mooring lines consisting of chain and polyester are arrayed equidistant from one another approximately 45 degrees apart, retained by chain stoppers located at a 6m radius from the center of the turret. The turret elevation (at the chain stopper level) is 31m above the vessel keel.

The work was completed on time and without -incident.
