InterMoor Australia, based in Perth, has provided marine consultancy services to Stena Drilling for towing the Stena Clyde MODU from Darwin to Singapore.

InterMoor prepared the tow plan for the approximately 1900 nautical mile wet tow. The work scope included

  • procedures for mooring recovery at the Darwin location,
  • details of the tow route and tow integrity requirements,
  • procedures for mooring chain recovery at the Singapore location,
  • development of the tow plan to the shipyard.

An InterMoor Tow Master was also present for the duration of the tow to facilitate the safe and successful relocation of the Stena Clyde from Darwin to Singapore.
